House calls
We still believe in House Calls! We will encourage clients to bring their companion animals to the hospital whenever possible as we can provide much better medicine on site compared to “on the road” but under some circumstances we will still do House Calls.
Occasionally we end up being an expensive animal taxi to get the patient to the hospital when a proper diagnostic work up is required or when additional trained staff are needed. However, there are times when a house call is an effective method of diagnosing or treating a condition that may be related to an environmental concern. We also make day trips over to Denman and Hornby Island, providing medical care house to house, as well as the Powell River area for equine medicine.
We also support house calls for those families who request the euthanasia of their companion animal at home. The privacy and comfort of being at home with the family cannot be underestimated at this emotional time.
We have three vehicles equipped for house and farm calls. Additional fees apply.
