Dr. Alexandra Muzzin

I have always loved animals, and going to veterinary school was my plan since elementary school. I graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan in 2014. I have also had a keen interest in business and management, so I decided to get my Master's in Business Administration after veterinary school. Van Isle was a great fit right off the bat. My colleagues are all very caring people and there is great mentorship and teamwork among the veterinarians at our hospital. Plus, the Comox Valley is a beautiful place to live, so it was easy to move here! I joined Van Isle in 2015. My special area of interest is surgery. My first pet was Camo, my tortoiseshell cat; she is now nine-years-old. What I love about my job are the relationships I have formed with clients and their pets. My favourite thing about the clinic is our team. Fun fact about myself is that I really like to stay active, and when I moved to the Comox Valley I joined a soccer team, then joined a gym, a softball team, a beach volleyball team, and purchased a sea-kayak that I use in the ocean and nearby lakes.
