Laura Kleemann

Registered Veterinary Technician
Laura is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and came to British Columbia in 2008, where she then graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Douglas College in Coquitlam in 2016. Laura joined the Van Isle Team in 2016 as a registered veterinary technician. She enjoys working at Van Isle because of the wide variety of cases we see every day and knowing she can help aid in the comfort of many animals. Laura also really enjoys the team she works with, as they make coming to work fun each day. Laura's favourite thing about veterinary medicine is knowing that she can make a difference in an animal's life, even if it’s just for a short cuddle. Laura's passion in life is riding horses and spending time enjoying their presence. She also has two adorable dogs named Nova and Rheo.

Get a Cupcake and Support BC Animals in Need during Treat Week! Feb 24 - Mar 1

Van Isle Veterinary Hospital is super excited to be hosting our 4th annual cupcake day fundraiser! BCSPCA celebrates “Treat Week” across the Province from Feb 24th – March 1st 2020 where business, pet owners and animal lovers can bake up a storm and sell treats with the proceeds going to BC animals in need. Van Isle Veterinary Hospital will be baking more than 70 dozen cupcakes, cookies, squares and treats in the hopes of beating last year’s donations of $2600 (in just 7 hours!). Many local businesses such as Finders Keepers, Old House Notary, ABC Printing, Kal Tire, 50th Parallel, Stu Tunheim – Wealth Management, Bosleys, Westview Ford and Monica Parkin – Coast Capital Savings are showing their support early with special pre-orders to help animals in need. A special shout out to Cumberland Bakery for donating 12 doz of their delicious donut holes to help us reach our goal. Each year the team at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital is blown away by the support from within the community as well local businesses who pull together for this great cause.  Don’t miss out on Monday! Come early to get your favourite treats. Baked goods will be available from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm or when they sell out. There will be gluten-free and vegan options available, as well as special cupcakes for our four-legged friends to enjoy too.   By Candice Pacholuk
