Katie Walker

I grew up in the small, coastal farm town of Ladner, B.C. with a fascination for all things animal related. The areas that I feel most passionate about in the veterinary field include animal welfare, pain-management, emergency medicine & low-stress handling.  Prior to graduating as an RVT in 2022, I was enrolled in the nursing program at College of the Rockies in the East Kootenays. I spend almost all of my spare time with my four-legged son, Dexter, who is a rescued Shepherd X out of northern Manitoba.  We love spending time in the forest, working on DIY projects, & checking out all the unique swimming holes that the island has to offer.
