National Cupcake Day

Van Isle Veterinary Hospital had an amazing turn out on Monday, February 26th for this year’s National Cupcake Day for the SPCA.

Hospital would like to say a heartfelt thank you to this amazing community for your support and your love of cupcakes. The team worked extremely hard and baked over 65 dozen cupcakes in preparation for the big day! Sales were already in motion before the doors opened with support from other local businesses in the Comox Valley ordering cupcakes for their own staff and families.

Big thank you to Boseley’s, Comox Valley Nissan, Comox Valley Volkswagen, Invis Mortgages and Galaxy Motors who came together to support our National Cupcake Day!

Not only were the cupcakes delicious, the staff at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital were also able to show off some of their hidden talents and did not disappoint!

Together, the team raised over $2200.00 for their local, Comox SPCA Branch. Thank you, Comox Valley for helping us help pets in need. We can’t wait until next year!!

Here are a few photos from the day:

Hot Dogs Are Not Cool!

With our early start to summer and record-breaking temperatures so far in the Comox Valley this May, it’s time to keep our pets at home and not in our cars! Temperatures have already reached well above the low to mid 20’s, and that is too hot for any pet to be left in a car, even in the shade.
