Congrats to Dr. Laura Davenport-Scherr!
The team at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital is excited for Dr. Laura Davenport-Scherr and her husband Daniel who are about to introduce a new member to their family! Laura has been with our practice for more than 15yrs, starting her career by volunteering as a high school student in 2002. Laura continued on with the practice as one of our kennel assistants and receptionist throughout high school and while she was attending college at NIC before completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria. During Veterinary School at WCVM, Laura would return to the Comox Valley to continue working for Van Isle and gain valuable experience from our senior veterinarians. Dr. Davenport graduated in April of 2016 and returned home to her Van Isle family as one of our amazing associates.
Introducing Dr. Caitlyn Best
We are also excited to introduce Dr. Caitlyn Best who comes to us from Powell River, BC. Dr. Best will be working here at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital as one of our part time associates while Dr. Davenport is on her maternity leave. Dr. Best graduated from WCVM in May of 2016; in fact, she was in the same graduating class as Dr. Davenport and our Dr. Jocelyn Waldern. Caitlyn is very excited to join the Van Isle family and can’t wait to meet all our clients and their furry companions! Welcome to the beautiful Comox Valley Dr. Best!
