I have always loved being around animals and the unconditional love they can provide. I grew up in Ontario and graduated from the Veterinary Technician and Wildlife program at Northern College in 2009. After visiting Vancouver Island during school, I knew I wanted to move out to the West Coast. I have loved living here since 2011 and have been working at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital since 2017. Each day in this career there is something different, so I feel there are constantly things to learn and skills to develop. I enjoy being with such a diverse and strong team of caring, compassionate people. I also love building connections with our clients and helping their beloved pets.

Get a Cupcake and Support BC Animals in Need during Treat Week! Feb 24 - Mar 1

Van Isle Veterinary Hospital is super excited to be hosting our 4th annual cupcake day fundraiser! BCSPCA celebrates “Treat Week” across the Province from Feb 24th – March 1st 2020 where business, pet owners and animal lovers can bake up a storm and sell treats with the proceeds going to BC animals in need. Van Isle Veterinary Hospital will be baking more than 70 dozen cupcakes, cookies, squares and treats in the hopes of beating last year’s donations of $2600 (in just 7 hours!). Many local businesses such as Finders Keepers, Old House Notary, ABC Printing, Kal Tire, 50th Parallel, Stu Tunheim – Wealth Management, Bosleys, Westview Ford and Monica Parkin – Coast Capital Savings are showing their support early with special pre-orders to help animals in need. A special shout out to Cumberland Bakery for donating 12 doz of their delicious donut holes to help us reach our goal. Each year the team at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital is blown away by the support from within the community as well local businesses who pull together for this great cause.  Don’t miss out on Monday! Come early to get your favourite treats. Baked goods will be available from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm or when they sell out. There will be gluten-free and vegan options available, as well as special cupcakes for our four-legged friends to enjoy too.   By Candice Pacholuk
