It’s a Feline Frenzy!

During September, we are super excited to be celebrating our fabulous feline companions! We are crazy about cats here at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital and wanted to dedicate a full month highlighting just how special our cats are and the special care and attention they need.
Uh-oh, has it been a while since your cat’s last checkup? No worries! Bring your cat in for their annual wellness exam between September 1 and September 30 and you will be entered to win a fabulous feline care basket filled with all sorts of kitty toys, treats, wellness products and a $50 gift certificate for future veterinary services here at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital!

We will also be hosting our first ever feline-only client education night! Join us on September 27 at 6:30 pm for an educational, fun-filled evening with Dr. Laura Davenport and Leanne Kelly – RVT (also known as ‘resident crazy cat lady’) to learn more about what makes your cat a happy cat! We will be discussing how to tackle some of those unwanted feline behavioural issues, through environmental enrichment, preventative health and proper feline nutrition. There will be light snacks and refreshments, door prizes and hospital tours. Make sure to save your seat! RSVP to info@vanislevet.com or call 250.334.400.

Five fun facts about cats:

  • Calico cats are always female.
  • Like a human fingerprint, a cat’s nose pad is unique to them.
  • Cats sweat through the pads of their feet.
  • The more you talk to your cat, the more they will speak to you!
  • Cats have powerful night vision and can see at six times lower light levels than humans.
